# Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 May 2026

This privacy policy explains how Vet 2 Market Limited collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit www.vet2market.com or get in touch with us. It is written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation ("UK GDPR") and the Data Protection Act 2018.

## 1. Who we are

Vet 2 Market Limited is the "controller" of your personal data, meaning we decide how and why it is processed.

- Controller: Vet 2 Market Limited

- Company number: NI727742 (registered in Northern Ireland)

- Registered address: Unit 1, 212–218 Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT4 3ET

- Contact email: hello@vet2market.com

- ICO registration number: ZB972748

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please email us at hello@vet2market.com.

## 2. What personal data we collect

We collect personal data in two ways.

When you contact us through the website. If you complete the contact form or email us directly, we collect:

- Your name

- Your email address

- The contents of your message and any information you choose to include

- Date and time of the enquiry

When you browse the website. Our website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. Through this we may collect:

- Pseudonymised identifiers (cookie IDs)

- Truncated IP address (Google Analytics 4 anonymises IP addresses by default before storage)

- Device and browser information (type, version, screen size)

- Pages visited, time spent, referring URL, approximate geographic region (city level)

We do not collect special category data (e.g. health, ethnicity, political views) and we ask that you do not include such information in enquiry messages.

## 3. Lawful bases for processing

Under Article 6 of the UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:

- Enquiries via the contact form or email: Article 6(1)(b) — processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract; and where you are an existing customer, Article 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in responding to customer queries.

- Google Analytics: Article 6(1)(a) — your consent, given through our cookie banner. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your cookies or adjusting your preferences.

## 4. Cookies

The website uses cookies. Strictly necessary cookies (which keep the site functioning) are set without consent, as permitted by regulation 6(4) of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 ("PECR"). All other cookies — including Google Analytics — are set only after you provide consent through our cookie banner.

You can manage or withdraw cookie consent at any time via your browser settings or by clearing cookies for our domain.

## 5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the following categories of recipient, each acting as our processor or independent controller:

- Squarespace, Inc. — our website hosting provider, which stores contact form submissions and serves the website. Squarespace is headquartered in the United States.

- Google LLC (Google Analytics) — provides analytics services. Google is headquartered in the United States.

- Email service providers — if and when we reply to your enquiry, your email passes through standard email infrastructure.

We may also disclose personal data where required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

## 6. International transfers

Both Squarespace and Google are based in the United States, which means your personal data may be transferred outside the United Kingdom. These transfers are protected by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which both providers are certified, and which the UK Government has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection (UK adequacy regulations, October 2023).

## 7. How long we keep your data

- Contact form submissions and email enquiries: 12 months after our last contact with you.

- Google Analytics data: Up to 14 months (Google's default retention setting).

After these periods, data is deleted or fully anonymised.

## 8. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the following rights, exercisable free of charge in most circumstances:

- Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you

- Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data

- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — ask us to delete your data

- Right to restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data

- Right to data portability — receive your data in a portable format

- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests

- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent

- Rights related to automated decision-making — we do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@vet2market.com. We will respond within one month, as required by Article 12(3).

## 9. Right to complain to the ICO

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office:

- Website: ico.org.uk

- Helpline: 0303 123 1113

- Post: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF

We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first — please do contact us before approaching the ICO.

## 10. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including TLS/HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls on our hosting account, and reliance on processors (Squarespace, Google) that maintain industry-standard security certifications. No internet transmission is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

## 11. Children

The website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

## 12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be brought to your attention where reasonably practicable.
